Welcome to the Hampton Golf Association

The HGA Board of Directors is committed to provide a golf schedule and tournament environment that appeals to all its members. The numbers of outings and the variety of courses that have been scheduled are based on inputs from members and history of past participation.

To run our outings effectively, we ask for your help with the following:

* We expect all members to represent HGA with the highest respect and dignity.Conduct at the course and code is important to us.

* Slow Play affects all golfers. We challenge all HGA members to be conscious of the need to "Avoid Slow Play and Keep Up With The Group In Front."

* Our goal for each week is to enjoy golf with the members we're playing with. HGA's Rules of Play are consistent with USGA rules, with a few exceptions. It's your responsibility to learn and apply both USGA and HGA (specific) Rules of Play at all HGA events.

* Most golf courses we play have dress codes, ie…. collared shirts, no blue jeans, no cut-offs, etc. To be consistent and avoid non-compliance of dress codes at any course, HGA members have approved our own dress code that requires collared shirts with sleeves, no cut-offs, etc., at all HGA events.

* Many courses require all groups to commit to the number of players as the Thursday prior to the event. HGA is committed to comply with these requirements. PLEASE make sure you know when the Entry Deadline is for each tournament and sign up on or before that date.
