Team Format

The Hampton Golf Association plays a four(4) man team format. Each hole the lowest two(2) scores are used.

Team captains are chosen each week. The captains will then pick their team from the members and guest that have arrived and paid the fee by the "BE THERE TIME".

Any team that chooses only three(3) players will not be allowed to pick for a fourth player after the round. Any team that received only three(3) players will be allowed to pick a fourth player. Only one player can be picked for each team and their score will be used for front and back, but player can not be picked to beat their team.

Once the teams have been picked, the captains will draw or pick for starting spots.

4-Player 2-Best Ball

Each team member plays his own ball until it is holed out. The two lowest net scores of the team for each hole will be used for the team score. The team with the lowest team net score wins.

Team Points

Teams also play for total points for Eighteen(18) holes

Points system:

Eagle                4 points
Birdie                3 points
Par                    2 point
Boggie              1 point
Over boggie     0 points

Total points are added for each player for each hole.

Prize Fund

The HGA will pay out a prize fund each week. The format will be the same for almost every week, with exceptions made for tounament play or for low turnout.

Individual Scats

Scats are the lowest single score on a hole. Scats will be paid out as follows:

                Par Scat:        1/2
                Birdie Scat        1
                Eagle Scat     1.5 ( ALL EAGLES PAY)

Any Scats with two or more players on the same team for the same hole will be split.
