Members Conduct

This is to remind all Hampton Golf Association members of the conduct that will be allowed by members or the member guests while playing with the Hampton Golf Association.

Each member that shows up each week to play will be expected to complete that round of golf. Players will not quit during a round. The HGA plays as a team event on almost all weekends, so if you start a match please do not quit before the completion of that round!!! The only permissible exceptions are for illness or due to injury.

Members are to treat other members and guest with some degree of respect. No member will be allowed to berate, curse out, or to threaten any other member for any reason whatsoever. If you have a problem with a member or a guest, settle it in a courteous manner.

If any of these problems or situations occur and they are brought before the Governing Board, action will be taken. The board will review each incident and will take any action that the board feels is necessary to preserve the name and standing of the Hampton Golf Association to the public, and to the courses where we play. The actions that can be taken will range from the member being talked to by a board member about the incident up to the member being asked to quit or removed from the Hampton Golf Association.
