Members are to follow the rules of golf. This will include both USGA rules and local rules which the association plays by.
1: One of the rules that needs to be clarified is rolling the ball. Players are allowed to move the ball no more than one (1) club length from the spot that the ball lays and not closer to the hole. This option is allowed only in the fairway or on the fringe of the green, NOT in the rough, in a hazard or on the green.
2: Second rule to be clarified deals with playing one (1) ball. This means that players are to play the same ball thru the green, unless the ball is declared unfit for play (Rule 5-3), Ball is lost (Rule 27), or is declared unplayable (Rule 28). This means that players are NOT allowed to change balls after a tee shot for their approach shot (example: a hard ball off the tee to a soft ball into the green). The only exception to this rule is that players are allowed to change balls on the green.
3: Third rule is for playing out of bounds balls. This association allows for two options only.
<<Option 1:>> If ball is hit out of bounds the player may hit a provisional ball from the same spot and play this ball if first ball is declared out of bounds.(If you think it went out of bounds play provisional) This option will include a one(1) stroke penalty.
<<Option 2:>> The player may elect to play the ball from the point where it went out of bounds. This option will include a two (2) stroke penalty.
